My research explores how inclusive education can be realised in practice for children with complex medical care needs, at the intersection of health, education, and policy. It brings together work on school nursing, rare diseases, patient involvement, and sexuality education. Across these areas, I focus on aligning universal principles—such as human rights and the best interests of the child—with local contexts and practices.

The root of my research lies in my encounters with pediatric home-care physicians, children living with medical complexities, and their families. Witnessing the profound challenges they face within the gaps of the social system, I now focus on clarifying the educational roles of school nurses and visualizing the subjective burdens of family carers. My mission is to serve as a "bridge" to inclusion by transforming lived experiences into robust evidence.
